China’s Mini Excavator Exports Grow Strongly, Overseas Market Share Exceeds 35% 在 2025

[Industry Dynamics] Recently, the China Construction Machinery Industry Association released the latest data showing that in 2025, China’s exports of mini excavators (1-6 ton class) reached 49,363 units, accounting for 42.28% of the total excavator exports, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%. The overseas market share exceeded 35% for the first time, surpassing Japanese brands to become a main force in the global first camp. Among them, 3-5 ton class mini excavators have become the core export category due to their high cost performance and flexible adaptability, accounting for more than 76% of exports to “Belt and Road” countries, with a year-on-year growth of 62.51% in the African market.
It is reported that the growth of China’s mini excavator exports is mainly due to three major advantages: first, the support of a complete industrial chain, and large-scale production has shortened the delivery cycle by more than 30% compared with foreign brands; second, technological upgrading to adapt to global standards, the entire product line meets Euro V and North American Tier 4F emission standards, and functions such as tail-swing-free rotation and intelligent monitoring are widely popularized; third, improved global services, with parts centers and service outlets laid out in core overseas markets, greatly improving user experience. Industry insiders predict that in the next 3 years, China’s mini excavator exports will continue to maintain a growth rate of more than 10%, further consolidating the global market advantage.
